For those looking for a more laid-back country experience, The Out of Africa Guest Lodge in Magaliesburg which is set in six acres of park gardens has five double-story thatched cottages that can accommodate up to 14 people.
Rustic Style Cottages
We’ve designed these cottages to look like old hunting cottages that have been around for a while; Old worldly, rustic and cosy. Each cottage is double story with a bedroom, bathroom, lounge, coffee station and most have wooden decks.
Sundowners & Platters
The old vintage 1927 Chevy truck has been renovated to look like a quaint little pub and can supply you with delightful sundowners, cocktails, sherry, port, Irish coffee or even a hot chocolate if you prefer. Cracking cheese platters with preserves are available on order.

For breakfast, you can enjoy a brunch picnic basket, packed with home cooked food that you can savour on the banks of the Berg River or in the beautiful forest with your friends and family.

Dinner is served in the Street Café at La Provence (same premises), where you can sit down by our quaint French tables and chairs and enjoy a wonderful meal in front of large fireplaces.

For those, who require some tender, loving care; take a walk down to the Forest ZEN Spa, where our team of highly trained professionals remove all the tension from your body with the hot stone therapy massages we have on offer. The Spa is built on a wooden deck and has a relaxing splash pool where you can cool down during hot days and over looks the Berg river from the beautiful forests.
Guided Forest Walks
We also offer guided walks in the forest so you can take in and admire the beautiful surroundings together while an expert takes you through to see the amazing sights. Walking sticks are provided. Start your walk at 3pm right from the property and have fun!
