Descending down the winding drive through tall forest, a sense of excitement grips the new visitor to Royston Hall and one just has the premonition that a pleasant surprise lies at the desitnation. Ria and Roderick Hackland welcome you most warmly to their Victorian home as discerning guests who will appreciate the elegant simplicity of the finer lifestyle of yesteryear and Nature at it’s best. This beautiful Historical Manor House (circa 1897) with her rich history has certainly been the best kept secret destination on the Lower South Coast – but not any more! Time has stood still here for more than a Century.
The House is set on her own small Private Nature Reserve nestled in tall indigenous coastal forest adjacent to the mighty Umzimkulu River. It has a view of the Indian Ocean in the distance and the swimming beach is 2.3km from here. Royston Hall is a stately old Victorian Lady from a bygone era lovingly restored exceeding her former glory.
