Situated opposite the Jules Verne French International School, in Morningside ext 40, Pooh Bear Corner offers cuddles and love for babies from 4 months old, then moving on to Oakhill Preschool from the year they turn 3.

Oakhill Preschool, provides a safe and stimulating learning envirnonment for children between 2.5 and 6 years.The schools operate throughout the year, with the exception of a break in December/January.

Oakhill Education is a small, privately owned group of preschools based in Sandton, Gauteng, very close to the French International School, St Stithians College, Redhill, Bryan even and a selection of other primary schools.

We are culturally diverse, encouraging children and families to share their unique family experiences, thus building tolerance and acceptance of all nationalities. Friends are made for life, with parents sending their children to Oakhill, as a result of their own experiences at our schools.

We encourage experiential learning, using all senses. Examples include tasting all types of food, growing our own vegetables, finger painting, papier mache, sand art, hopscotch, balancing, running in the rain, bringing animals to the school, counting ants, baking & more, you name it, we encourage it.

Learning is best done through play and social interaction, within a structured, secure environment. We believe small groups are most beneficial. Our adult to child ratio is, on average, 1:8, with the baby group being 1:3.We are open throughout the year, with the exception of a few weeks in December/January.

Our hours are 07:00 – 14:00 halfday, or up to 17:30 fullday.

Breakfast, midmorning/afternoon snack and lunch are included in the fees.

With the exception of Grade R, we do not advocate learning on iPads, as we feel there is ample time for exposure to technology at a later stage.All schools follow similar routines, with flexibility as required.
