Description

We are located in the Pilanesberg area, 8 minutes from Sun City, and offer an opportunity to see many of Africa's predatory species at close quarters. Qualified, knowledgeable guides share interesting information on each animal, while child-friendly tours include treasure hunts, refreshments and fun activities.

GUIDED TOURS & SCHOOL GROUP TOURS

Our guides can’t wait to show you our animal collection and to share their knowledge. Tshepang and Joseph have been guiding and trained at the zoo for years.

Our guided tours are the perfect way to get to see those elusive predators that you do not always have the privilege to spot in the wild.

Our tours are structured around how our guests arrive, so you might have to wait a few minutes for the next tour.Visit Preditor Park and see our Wild Animals up close

LIONS / LEEUS

Lions are the second largest living cats after tigers. Unlike most other cat species, lions are very social felines. Male lions are easily recognised by their manes. A group of lions is called a pride and typically consists of a male, a couple of females and their offspring.

CHEETAHS / JAGLUIPERDS

Cheetahs are the fastest land animals, with the ability to accelerate from 0 to 103km/h in 3 seconds. This is faster than most super cars. They can reach speeds between 112 and 120km/h in short bursts, covering up to 460m.

LEOPARDS / LUIPERDS

Leopards have relatively short legs & a long body with a large skull. They are extremely successful in the wild due to their opportunistic hunting behavior, adaptability, speed (58 km/h (36 mph), ability to climb trees even when carrying a heavy carcass, and stealth.

AFRICAN SERVAL / TIERBOSKAT
Servals have the longest legs of any cat, relative to their body size. The toes are also elongated, and unusually mobile, helping the animal to capture partially concealed prey. Another distinctive feature of the serval is the presence of large ears and a special bony structure in the skull, indicating a particularly acute sense of hearing.

SPOTTED HYENAS / GEVLEKTE HYENAS

They unique & vital components to most ecosystems. Since they don't have claws, they have to catch their prey in their teeth. their calloused feet with large, blunt, non-retractible nails are made for running and making sharp turns.

BROWN HYENAS / BRUIN HYENAS

They have very powerful jaws; young hyenas can crack the leg bones of springboks in five minutes, this ability deteriorates with age though as their teeth gradually wear. Their social structure works on an alpha male and alpha female.

MEERKAT

Meerkats live in all parts of the Kalahari Desert in Botswana and in South Africa. A group of meerkats is called a "mob", "gang" or "clan". They can move up to 80% their own body weight in sand in one day by digging.

BENGAL TIGERS / BENGAALSE TIERE

Bengal tiger is the national animal of Bangladesh. The largest known Bengal tiger was a male with a head and body length of 221 cm, a shoulder height of 109 cm and a tail of just 81 cm, perhaps bitten off by a rival male.
