Rising Stars Academy

Rising Stars Academy is a family based independent primary school in Sunridge, Cape Town with teachers & assistants, which are both dedicated in providing the best foundation for our children.

It is our passion, to help & encourage each child to individually achieve their full potential.

At Rising Stars Academy we create a foundation of learning in each pupil and ensure that individual potential is achieved. We believe in educating the whole child. The aim is to instill confidence, self-worth, self-discipline and a sound work ethic. We, at Rising Stars Academy, provide a multicultural environment which will enhance national pride and enable the pupils to develop sensitivity to the aspirations of others.

Our Primary School hosts core subjects in the Foundation Phase which include English, Afrikaans, Mathematics and Life skills. Reading and Mathematics skills are taught in small groups where our students are challenged and supported and required to develop essential thinking and reasoning skills.

In addition to our diverse academic programme, we also ensure that the emotional and social well-being of each child is nurtured in our caring and safe environment. We celebrate diversity and make it our aim to ensure that each child and teacher feels included.

A holiday programme is available for the aftercare children – there is no additional charge for a full day holiday programme. However, a small craft fee will be charged to cover the individual crafts made through the holiday seasons.

Homework supervision is provided by our aftercare teachers, so your child should be able to complete most if not all of their homework before they go home.

This is available for students from Grades R-4, providing a safe environment after school hours until 18:00. We do take children for aftercare from Sunningdale Primary, Tableview Primary and Blouberg Ridge primary as well.
