Stone River Cottages were built in 006 on the banks of a River, which runs through the heart of Midrand.At the time we had been living in the area for 4 years and used the plot as an access to the river. We walked our dogs in the area and enjoyed the natural beauty of the plot everyday. So we decided to buy the land and build 2 cottages.
Once the "cottages" were built we realised they were beautiful large homes, both commanding stunning views and serene garden surroundings.
We wanted to name the plot and sought out the name of the river. Unfortunately no name appeared on any of the maps and we decided to name it Stone River, because of the beautiful rocks and waterfall on the river and the stunning rocky outcrops on the property.
Hence "Stone River Cottages" were born.
